Klyx ("Klyx Games", "we", "us", "our") is a Minecraft event and server. This policy covers klyx.org: what we store, why, and how to get it removed.

Just visiting
This is a site to retrieve information for Klyx and Klyx Games. We're not running ads and we're not building a profile on you. If you never edit the wiki, this site sets no cookies at all.
Editing the wiki
To edit a game page you sign in with Discord, so we can tell who contributed what. We ask Discord
only for the identify scope: your username, display name, user ID, and avatar. It does not
let us read your email, see which servers you are in, read messages, or act as you.
Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. This is never used for tracking, and never set unless you click to sign in.
Signing in and editing writes three things to our database:
- Your account: your Discord ID, username, display name, avatar, first seen, last seen, and an edit count.
- Every edit: your Discord ID, username and avatar, the page, the time, your summary, and the change itself.
- Approved revisions: a snapshot of the page you edited, your name as its author, and the approver's name.
Revisions are the wiki's history, and act as a version control and 'undo' system. By editing, you agree to your revision being kept indefinitely.
An approved edit becomes part of the public game page, but your name is not shown anywhere on the site. Only staff can see any of the above.
Who sees your edits
Staff reviewing the queue see your display name, avatar, summary and change, whether the edit is approved or rejected. Our software may also post a submitted edit (game name, your display name, your summary) to a private staff Discord channel.
While you are signed in, your browser loads your avatar from Discord's servers, so Discord sees that request. Beyond Discord we share nothing with anyone: no advertisers, no analytics, no brokers, and nothing for sale.
How long we keep it
- Your session: 30 days, then the database deletes it itself.
- Your account: until you ask us to remove it.
- Edits and revisions: indefinitely, as the audit and the page history.
Why we are allowed to store it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: an editable wiki has to know who wrote what, review it before it goes public, undo it afterwards, and stop anyone abusing the editor. Signing in is your choice, we ask Discord for the least it will tell us, and none of it is used for anything else. Your sign-in cookie is strictly necessary, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
Your rights and choices
You can sign out whenever you like, which deletes the session immediately, and revoke Klyx altogether under Discord → User Settings → Authorised Apps.
You hold the right to access a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to our use of it, and take it elsewhere in a portable form. Email us and we will answer within a month.
An approved contribution stays in the page history, because every later revision is built on it. We can take your name off it if you'd like, but we cannot take it out. We would rather tell you that than promise an erasure we are not able to perform.
Where it is held
Our database runs on a server we operate ourselves. Signing in involves Discord Inc. in the United States, covered by Discord's privacy policy rather than this one.
Age
Signing in needs a Discord account, and Discord requires you to be 13 or older, so in practice so do we. The EU sets this per country, between 13 and 16. If a child has signed in, tell us and we will remove the account.
